Styling Exposed Shelves

Exposed shelves are one of my favorite aspects of our kitchen. Having this unique feature in your home allows you to showcase some of your special pieces. I am going to share with you how I styled my exposed shelves and where I found some of the pieces shown. Ahhh.. this kitchen has a special place in my heart. I hope you gain a little inspiration.

When Clinton and I bought this home together, I could not wait to get in and start adding a personal touch. We started with the kitchen. I am completely and utterly obsessed with Anthropolgie, and these exposed shelves gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase our anthro everyday china. We also have pieces on the shelves from Pottery Barn, William Sonoma, and Target. It is amazing when you can find pieces from several different stores to make a complete look.

The main style throughout our kitchen is shabby chic farm house. I think everyone loves coming in a kitchen that makes you feel at home and these pieces really add a homey touch. The clean lines and simple colors really tie everything in our kitchen together. The blue in our Gloriosa china adds just the right pop of color. It is important to add a variety of pieces so everything does not look too "matchy- matchy." We love how the shelves act as storage and decor at the same time. They are the perfect addition to bring your kitchen to the next level. They are a WOW factor!

I have provided the links to shop these products in the images displayed below. If you have any questions about this look, please contact me!
