Rasberry and Peach Summer Sangria

Summer time calls for the refreshing taste of sweet sangria! Sangria is amazing because you can throw everything in a pitcher and it is ready to serve once chilled.

In this specific recipe I used Sutter Homes Chardonnay wine because it adds just the right amount of sweetness and crispness. What will make this refreshing drink even better?? Sharing it with your friends of course! I hope you enjoy this super simple and delicious sangria.

Ingredients

6 oz raspberries 1/2 lb peaches 1 tsp lemon juice 2 Tbsp. sugar __ 80 ml light rum 200 ml 7Up or similar clear soda 750 ml White Wine (Pinot or Chardonnay work great)

Directions

Slice the peaches into thick slices and add them to a small sauce pot.

Add raspberries, lemon juice and sugar. Carefully stir.

Cook the fruit mixture over medium heat, covered, until the fruit are soft and given out a lot of juice. Stir occasionally and carefully.

Transfer the fruit to the pitcher and let them cool to room temperature.

Add rum and wine. Carefully stir.

Slowly, add 7Up and slowly stir.

Keep refrigerated until ready to serve!

Use square ice cubes to add some flare to your cocktail.

I love making Sangria because there are so many variations of this tasty treat. You can pretty much substitute any fruit in this recipe and it will be delicious. Don’t forgot to tag me if you make any of my drink recipes :) CHEERS!
