Life's A Peach Frozen Marg + Pro Cocktail Making Tips

Why does happy have to be limited to any particular hour!? The good news is your happy hour - whenever that may be - just got filled with a cocktail recipe that will make those moments even brighter. This recipe may seem like it take a lot of effort to make, but it is really super easy!

This delicious drink is light and twangy, and adding a little bit of orange juice into the mix gives a great spark of delicious flavor. I have found that OJ is a great compliment to most lemon/lime cocktails. Also, I have found a great tequila that will add nice kick to your margaritas without the kick to your bank account! Altos tequila is a really clean tasting tequila. It goes down smooth and is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I am going to provide you all with the recipe for this yummy cocktail and also share some cocktail making tips. I hope you guys enjoy this recipe as much as I have! May your happy hours be filled with absolute yumminess!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen peaches, (if frozen, slightly thaw)

  • 1 1/2 cup orange juice

  • 1 cup ice

  • 2 tablespoon agave or honey

  • 1 oz tequila

  • 1/2 cup ginger beer

  • The juice of one lime

  • Lemon slice for garnish

Directions:

  1. Put all of the ingredients in a blender, blend, pour, and serve! Stick around to read some of my favorite tips to making an outstanding cocktail. Read below!

Making cocktails has become an art to a lot of people. I have found some amazing accounts on Instagram and Pinterest that inspire a lot of my cocktails. A lot of the best cocktails (in my opinion) have a lot of the same characteristics that make them a knock out! Here are some of my favorite tips to make yours stand out.

1. Garnishes can make (or break) your cocktail - presentation is key

I love experimenting with my cocktail garnishes! There are so many fun things to add to your cocktails to make them unique. My favorites include rosemary, basil, thyme, flowers, and any type of fruit!

2. A prosecco topper works on just about every cocktail

Prosecco adds such a fun fizz to cocktails. It brings a really great fresh element as well!

3. Glassware matters

I have an obsession with unique glasses! I have found some amazing glassware at Anthropologie, Pottery Barn, and Homegoods! There is a glass that is perfect for each of your cocktail creations! If you are looking for a particular glassware, please let me know and I will be happy to help you track it down (that is how obsessed I am!)

4. Having great bar tools really helps bring your cocktails to another level

Having a good bar tool set will make your cocktail crafting a lot more fun and, if I am being completely honest, it makes it a much easier process! Who doesn't like easy?

5. Try using agave nectar or honey instead of sugar to make your simple syrups

I love using honey or agave vs. sugar in cocktails because it is a healthy alternative and I think it tastes better.

6. Always try your creations before serving to guests

I have tried to make a few cocktails on the spot that I had never tried making before. Lets just say practice makes perfect when you are trying to be creative with your drink making skills! :)
